Supervises work activities of cleaning personnel on a specific shift to ensure clean, safe and attractive environment. Delegates work responsibilities, monitors and inspect cleanliness of the property, and requisitions supplies and equipment.
|Duties:||Duties and Responsibilities|
•Applies positive communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
•Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
•Supervise the development and implementation of training program for all EVS employees.
•Ensure the department's day to day activities are running smoothly and according to standards.
•Oversees the status of out-of-order areas.
•Will conduct formal inspections, as well as, random checks to ensure high level maintenance and quality appearance levels.
•Works closely with the Facilities Department to ensure the preventative maintenance program is in place and providing positive results.
•Maintains appropriate levels of supplies and equipment.
•Maintains excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Soboba Casino Standards.
•Directly supervises 15-30 employees in the EVS Department.
•Will carry out responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures in the employee handbook and departmental procedures.
•Responsibilities include interviewing, training and motivating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

•Ability to deal effectively with all staff members exercising tact, diplomacy and patience at all times.

•Basic Computer skills very helpful.
•Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma or equivalent required. Supervisory experience required.
•Act as a team member to the department and to each other, as a support system, cooperating on department and company projects and assignments, including conducting best practices for working with each other, the department and the company.
•Maintain a high level of organization, including maintaining an orderly and neat work area and worksite, as well as organized work activities, with the highest levels of productivity in performing daily job tasks within the scheduled work day.
•Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the workplace, including standards for appropriate dress and appearance, respect for each tem member, satisfactory attendance, open communication, job knowledge, a desire to succeed, and in all activities where you represent the EVS Department through trust, productivity, confidentiality, and the highest levels of customer service.
•Act as a department champion, promoting the department’s and company services and functions to other employees, other departments, vendors, applicants and others who visit the department and property.
•Be responsive, accountable and provide feedback to management inquires for information, clarification, suggestions or observations regarding operational, staffing, mentoring, customer service, personal development and productivity.
•Serve as a team member of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians, following the code of conduct, displaying the highest level of ethics and integrity in action, thoughts and conduct.
Certificates, licenses and registration:
•Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming Commission license. Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; secondary smoke; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock. Must be able to handle multiple tasks. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
