Description:The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing any and all facets of business at Soboba Casino. The analyst will be responsible for producing reports based on numerous data points which will enable management to make more informed business decisions and provide management with analysis summaries and recommendations based on findings. Assist in the research and analysis of casino related events, functions and direct mail promotions. Will participate with the Director of Finance, Finance department and Operational departments to develop operational and capital budgets.

Duties:Essential Functions:
•Assist the Director of Finance in the development of the operational and capital budgets, monthly financial analysis and ad hoc analysis for operations department.
•Provide analysis of slot performance to the Assistant General Manager, Director of Finance and Slot Manager through the use of the slot accounting system, other operations systems and the MAS accounting system.
•Provide analysis of table games performance to the Assistant General Manager, Director of Finance and Table Games Manager through the Cage & Table Accounting system and the MAS accounting system
•Provide analysis of food and beverage and other retail outlets performance to the Assistant General Manager, Director of Finance and Department Managers through Micros and the MAS accounting system
•Provide analysis of Marketing Events, Promotions and Direct Mail performance to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Department Manager through the Player Tracking System and other analytical systems.
•Provide statistical and analytical support in the development, implementation and evaluation of all operations departments programs.
•Maximize slot revenues by providing the Management with reports and analyses using the slot accounting system and other operations systems, which will be used to determine machine placement and relocation, game conversions and overall slot performance.

Other Functions:
•Analyze complex financial performance models and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
•Establish a database of relevant financial information for use in projections and forecasts.
•Insure accurate slot files with Revenue Audit and Financial Accounting.
•Provide return on investment analysis/reports for slot relocations, new game installs/removals and conversions.
•Oversee the operation of the slot system and report variances with recommended improvements to the Assistant General Manager ,Director of Finance and Management.
•Investigate and provide detailed analysis of slot system cheating attempts, malfunctions, and irregularities to the Assistant General Manager, Director of Finance and Management.
•Maintain working knowledge of applicable gaming laws (federal, state, and local), company policies and company internal controls (MICS).
•All other relevant duties as assigned.


•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and other computer applications.
•Must have well-rounded financial analysis and report writing skills.
•Ability to evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
•Ability to make written and verbal presentations.
•5 years of analytical experience in the gaming industry, preferably in the slot and financial areas.

•Associate's degree in business administration or mathematics, or equivalent gaming industry experience.
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Certificates, licenses, and registration:
•Ability to obtain and maintain Soboba Gaming Commission license.
•Required to submit to and pass all drug and alcohol testing.
