Senior Food Supervisor

Responsible for supervising and administering operations for the Food Outlets, assist in the coordination of new ideas in guest service, service training and product enhancement. Responsibilities also include mentoring, and evaluating staff, interviewing, and training employees; assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with department policies with guidance and support from Food & Beverage Manager.
|Duties:||Duties and Responsibilities|
•Applies positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
•Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in developing annual goals and objectives.
•Works directly with Food & Beverage Manager to learn all aspects of Food operations.
•Responsible for proper maintenance of supplies in all outlets to ensure sufficient items are ordered as needed.
•Responsible for ordering of product for use and sale.
•Assist with time-keeping and payroll while overseeing proper Kronos procedures.
•Ensures overall professional appearance of all Food service areas.
•Inspects outlet facilities to ensure that equipment and area meet Soboba Casino and Health Department standards.
•Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily Food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations.
•Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment necessary to the outlet areas.
•Ensures excellent communication between outlets and all other departments.
•Ensures coordination of special functions of outlets with Marketing Department, Table Games Department, and Slot Department.
•Maintains excellent communication and rapport with V.I.P.'s and regulars.
•Maintains excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Soboba Casino standards.
•Supervises employees in the Food departments.
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
•Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
•Act as a team member to the department and to each other, as a support system, cooperating on department and company projects and assignments, including conducting best practices for working with each other, the department and the company.
•Maintain a high level of organization, including maintaining an orderly and neat work area and worksite, as well as organized work activities, with the highest levels of productivity in performing daily job tasks within the scheduled work day.
•Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the workplace, including standards for appropriate dress and appearance, respect for each team member, satisfactory attendance, open communication, job knowledge, a desire to succeed, and in all activities where you represent the Department through trust, productivity, confidentiality, and the highest levels of customer service.
•Act as a department champion, promoting the department’s and company services and functions to other employees, other departments, vendors, applicants and others who visit the department and property.
•Be responsive, accountable and provide feedback to management inquires for information, clarification, suggestions or observations regarding operational, staffing, mentoring, customer service, personal development and productivity.
•Serve as a team member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians, following the code of conduct, displaying the highest level of ethics and integrity in action, thoughts and conduct.
|Qualifications:||Certificates, licenses and registration:|
•Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming Commission license. Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card from Riverside County.
•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

•High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
•Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
•2 years experience in food preparation and service required.
•2-3 years experience in a Management/Supervisory capacity preferred
•Cash handling experience required.
•The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There is exposure to second hand smoke.
