| Description: | Summary
The Social Media & Marketing Assistant shall assist the Marketing Department by performing clerical and administrative duties. The assistant shall provide support with Public Relations, and Community Outreach focusing on social media campaigns, database marketing and technology related tasks.

| Duties: | Duties and Responsibilities
•Provide the highest quality customer service to all casino guests, employees, departments and vendors.
•Adhere to all Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission Internal Control Standards and Soboba Casino Policies and Procedures.
•Maintain regular updates to social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Yelp and Pinterest.
•Monitor relevant social media sites and pages.
•Edit and create graphics for social media posts in conjunction with the Graphic Designers.
•Maintain current skills and knowledge of social media trends across desktop, mobile and tablet platforms.
•Edit and proofread marketing materials.
•Contribute ideas to marketing initiatives.
•Collaborate on email layout and design.
•Assist with email marketing projects.
•Analyze performance of email campaigns and collaborate on optimization strategies.
•Directly assist with special projects and promotions as assigned.
•Apply and facilitate effective communication via email, memo, and presentation.
•Prepare and type correspondence, reports, forms, charts and graphs as necessary.
•Maintain annual reports and pertinent support information for analysis, implementation and auditing.
•Place, accept and screen telephone calls.
•Demonstrate the utmost respect for confidential information that is received or generated.
•Order, distribute, and monitor all supplies.
•Handle memo distribution and photocopying for department.

| Qualifications: | Certificates, licenses and registration
•Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license and background check
•Negative results on all drug and alcohol tests
•Clean and valid California Driver License
Education and Qualifications
•High school diploma or GED
•Minimum 21 years of age
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to promote a positive and professional image
•Ability to handle routine and impromptu assignments with minimal supervision while working in a fast-paced, team environment
•Ability to multi-task and meet frequent deadlines while maintaining excellent customer service
•Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Ability to quickly master specialized tasks and software applications
•Proven project management skills
•2+ years experience in marketing, website maintenance, editing, Internet technologies or other relevant experience in a fast-paced environment
•Experience using social media applications for business
•Use of Basic HTML
•Desire to be at the forefront of digital marketing, social media and retail trends
•Bachelor degree or equivalent from accredited university or school preferred
Any education beyond the minimum requirement, as well as any experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary, shall be considered.
Work Environment
