|Description:||The Slot Technician III will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues. Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices. In addition technicians will be expected to maintain and calibrate currency validators, execute machine moves, game conversions, installations and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products. Responsible to investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clear bill jams. Day to day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines installed at Soboba Casino. In addition a Slot Technician III will be expected to provide leadership and motivate and build team environment. In addition to daily tasks a Technician III will be expected to assist and take ownership of projects when a Technical Supervisor is not available. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Management. |
•Expected to provide leadership and guidance for lower lever technicians.
•Routinely provide training (i.e. train the trainer program)
•Responsible for the installation, removal, conversion relocation of gaming device.
•Day to day preventative maintenance on gaming devices and signs.
•Troubleshooting of ticket-in ticket-out machines.
•Perform hopper tests.
•Clear bill validator jams and perform emergency drops.
•Assist in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
•Troubleshoot IGT Advantage Accounting System
•Investigate and verify any ticket issues
•Coordinate with and assist Slot Section Supervisors
•Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function
•Explain tasks to lower level technicians
•Maintain personal tools and equipment necessary for position.
•Expected to learn new gaming platforms and products.
•Kobetron gaming devices with the Tribal Gaming Commission
•Knowledge of basic AC/DC electronics.
•Knowledge of basic computer networking.
•The ability to troubleshoot repairs and maintain to a modular level.
•The ability install, maintain and repair slot signage.
•The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language to comprehend product labeling instructions, and to enable the safe applications of products and process.
•Knowledge of electronics/wiring to install, repair and modify electronics
•Have the ability to identify areas that require additional expertise and follow-ups.
•The ability to maintain and repair gaming device peripherals (i.e. printers, validators).
•The ability to multi task.
•The ability to work independently and within a small group environment.
•Strong initiative and the ability to learn in a fast paced environment.
•High School diploma required, AA degree in electronics preferred.
•2-3 years as a slot technician or equivalent technical expertise.
•Possess basic motor skills and troubleshooting techniques, possess limited knowledge of all forms of gaming equipment, system components and Slot Department signage and strong organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail and quality of service.
